Coaching Policy:

Our coaches are seasoned professionals with rich baseball experience, ensuring unbiased decisions and a focus on skill development. To maintain fairness, parents do not coach their own child’s team. All coaches undergo thorough background checks to guarantee a safe and positive environment.

Job Title: Part-Time Baseball Coach – Weekend Games Only

Location: New Jersey and surrounding areas
Start Date: Spring 2025
Salary: $100 per game for the right candidates. Most tournaments guarantee 3 games, with a maximum of 5 games.

We’re on the hunt for dynamic baseball enthusiasts who are passionate about mentoring the next generation of players. Our ideal coach has experience in coaching or playing at a high level and is eager to grow in their role. They should love baseball, connect well with kids, and be committed to nurturing young athletes’ skills and passion. As a GPC coach, you’ll plan lineups and pitching rotations during the week, engage with the parents of next weekend’s players through GameChanger, manage youth games on weekends, create engaging experiences, and inspire a love for the game. Responsibilities:

• Plan lineups and pitching rotations during the week.
• Engage with the parents of next weekend’s players through GameChanger, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Manage youth baseball games on weekends, starting Spring 2025.
• Ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for players and families.
• Create lineups focusing on equal playing time.
• Lead warmups, batting practice (BP skills required), and pregame routines.
• Manage in-game situations and provide educational coaching tips.
• Ensure player safety and act as a positive role model.
• Set the tone for accountability by leading by example.
• Be an active, visible mentor, engaging with players and offering guidance.

If you thrive on challenges, coaching at GPC offers a unique and rewarding experience. Each weekend, you’ll coach players you may have never met before. But don’t worry—we provide comprehensive tools to help you get to know your players and create game plans in advance, making the role both manageable and rewarding.

Requirements:

• Weekend availability (flexible scheduling).
• Experience in playing or coaching baseball.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and accountable.
• Patient with children and possess a positive demeanor.
• Fun, energetic, and passionate about baseball and teaching.
• Reliable transportation.
• Your own full bucket of baseballs.
• Parents are welcome to apply, but will not coach their child’s team.
